Bethel: Passover
Bethel: Passover earrings features a white background with green, purple and red clay embelishments. Bethel means “house of God”. This design of three parts represents the human body as walking temples and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in believers.
I saw it fitting to use the Bethel design to depict the Passover. In Exodus 12, the blood of the lambs were wiped on the doorposts with hyssop branches for protection. This was a type and shadow of the crucifixion of Jesus and that His shed blood actively covers us. The hyssop branch is known for its medicinal properties which I find to be a beautiful story only God could write.
In this new design, I added the hyssop branch stem on the top part of the earrings (the head) as a circle to represent the total cleansing of our minds, and sprinkled red clay to represent the blood of Jesus that does this work. See below for Scripture references.
